(AFP) WASHINGTON — Half of Americans reject President Barack Obama's lawsuit against Arizona's controversial
immigration law, with only a third supporting the move, according to a Gallup poll released Friday.
Feds Sue Arizona Over Immigration Law
Supporters of the law say the suit was an unnecessary action by the federal government after years of neglecting problems at the border.
Republican Gov. Jan Brewer called the lawsuit "a terribly bad decision" and defended the law as "reasonable and constitutional."

July 5, 2010 - Americans continue to overwhelmingly embrace the ideals articulated in the Declaration of Independence.  Eighty-eight percent (88%) believe we are
endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights” and 68% believe that “governments derive their only just authority from the consent of the governed.”
Fifty-four percent (54%) believe that the United States is truly a land of “liberty and justice for all.” Sixty percent (60%) favor repeal of the new health care law,
but just 41% think repeal is even somewhat likely. Forty-three percent (43%) believe repeal would be good for the economy while 27% believe it would be bad.
Just 29% believe the president’s economic stimulus package has helped the economy while 43% believe it has hurt. Voters say that decisions made by
business owners following their own self-interest will create more jobs than decisions made by government officials. Consumer and investor confidence
are both down slightly since the beginning of 2010 and down sharply since early May.
New jobless claims rise in sign of weak job market/economy.
July 1, 10-WASHINGTON —Initial claims for unemployment benefits rose last week for the second time in three weeks. As jobless claims
grow and benefits shrink, Americans have less money to spend and the economy can't grow fast enough to create new jobs.
"We find the level and direction in jobless claims somewhat troubling and the increase is likely to feed double-dip fears,"
said John Ryding, an economist at RDQ Economics in a note to clients.

The obvious question is: Why are these opinions being totally ignored?
 *48% want a prohibition on abortion in any govt.-subsidized program, only 13 % want a mandate requiring abortion coverage.
 The vast majority of Americans who have health coverage rate it as excellent, or very good.
* 54 % say Health cost would significantly increase and 23 % say it would lower the cost.
*The overwhelming majority of voters - 78 % - believe every American should be able to buy the same health insurance plan that Congress enjoys.
* 53 %  think tort reform is a vital part of any health care reform and would significantly lower the costs.

It was suspended, then, under Obama, the VA has now resuscitated "Your Life, Your Choices."

WASHINGTON - Key senators are excluding a provision on end-of-life care from health overhaul legislation after language
in a House bill caused a furor. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said in a

A health care bill passed by three House committees allows Medicare to reimburse doctors for voluntary counseling sessions
