" Queen of Sheba: Legend and Reality" focuses on the historical significance and splendor of the queen of Sheba, also known as Makeda, legendary ruler of Saba, and the ancient kingdoms that prospered under her reign through commodity trade to Jerusalem and the Roman Empire.
The queen of Sheba is a legendary figure referred to in the Old Testament as bringing great riches to the court of king Solomon in Jerusalem.
Jewish, Christian, Ethiopian and Islamic traditions dwell on different attributes, giving rise to a rich artistic vein, particularly but not exclusively in Renaissance and later art.

II Chronicles 9:1, 2; 1 Kings 10:4, 5,6,7,8
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon,
she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem,
with a very great company, and camels that bare spices,
and gold in abundance, and precious stones: .
and when she was come to Solomon,
she communed with him of all that was in her heart. .
Blessed be The LORD your GOD, which Delights in you,
to Set you on the throne of Israel:
because The LORD Loved Israel for ever, therefore Made He, you king,
to do judgment and justice.
Brighter than spiced wine, sweeter than midnight, more secret than the rose....

Song Of Solomon 2:4
He brought me to the banqueting house,
and his banner over me was love.
It has been suggested by many Old and New Testament Biblical scholars, that the Holy Bible's Book of "The Song of Solomon" in its deep love and Spirited romance is a depiction of the Spiritual union of The True Church of GOD.
The encounter of Solomon and the queen of Sheba, arrived from the east with a large retinue to pay homage to the wise king and bring gifts, is described in the Old Testament. In iconographical tradition, the queen of Sheba is often taken to represent the Church, and Solomon to represent Christ, to whom the Church pays homage.
Song of Solomon 2:1.
I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
Song of Solomon 2:2
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
Translator, Marcia Falk, - The Song of Songs, New York: HarperCollins-1993:
"...Another more poetic meeting of Queen Makeda and Solomon is offered in The Song of Songs or The Song of Solomon as it is sometimes called. Debate ensues around this book of the Bible: why is it in there? Taken at face value, the book would appear to be an extremely erotic love poem...."
( Although according to some legend, the love was never consummated.}
Falk further states: "..Rabbinical commentators say that the book is an allegory that speaks of the relationship between God and the people of Israel. To further give this book credence and purpose in the Judaic tradition, it is chanted on Shabat during the annual festival of Passover..
The woman in The Song, shows a strong sense of being a whole person. There is also a community of women, who act as a chorus in the text, and serve as a support system for the woman. The man is an equal in this relationship. Throughout The Song, there is never a word spoken about his need to control or dominate his lover. Nor is there anything to suggest that the relationship between nature (animals and plants) is anything but respectful.
All of the relationships in this text are, in fact, revered. .."
...The Song has an exceptionally large portion of the text (over half) that is spoken by women. Falk, 1993, xv: "...They speak out of their own experiences and imaginations, in words that do not seem filtered through the lens of patriarchal consciousness. There is no other Biblical writing in which women are given such a large voice."
I Kings 10:10, 13
And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones:
there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon..
I Kings 10:13
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked,
beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty.
So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.
.The references in the Gospels of Luke and Matthew, say that the queen of Sheba, "...came from the ends of the Earth."

Jesus: The queen of the south will rise up at the Judgment with this generation and condemn it,
because she came from the ends of the Earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon,
And see, ...
Something Greater than Solomon IS Here.
I AM Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End,
The First and The Last.
This IS My Beloved Son In Whom I AM Well Pleased,

I AM the Light of the world:
He that follows Me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the Light of Life.
